Jacob Borenstein

Founder

Jacob Borenstein is the Founder of 609 Real Estate, where he directs the firm's acquisitions, capital formation and asset management. He established the firm in 2024 to acquire and operate industrial properties in Minneapolis–St. Paul, and has sourced and capitalized transactions alongside institutional sponsors and private investors.

Prior to founding 609, he spent four and a half years at Brennan Investment Group, one of the largest privately held industrial real estate owners in the United States. He led the firm's Twin Cities market, directing sourcing and underwriting on more than $300 million of bids. As an Investment Analyst he underwrote more than $1.5 billion of closed industrial acquisitions and developments across the Midwest and Florida.

He was raised in Minneapolis, and the majority of his family remains in the Twin Cities.

He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he completed the Graaskamp Center's Real Estate Private Equity (REPE) and Applied Real Estate Investment Trust (AREIT) tracks, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the Wisconsin School of Business. He is a licensed Illinois real estate broker.
